Among dozens of businesses, the company is recognized for safety and construction

ANF, a leading full-service construction and development firm, proudly received both a Pyramid Award and an Eagle Award at the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast Chapter 2024 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards. Recognized as the industry’s premier awards program, the EIC honors general and specialty contractors for their commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and high-quality merit shop construction.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized with both the Pyramid and Eagle awards from ABC,” said Al Fernandez, CEO of ANF. “These achievements are a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team. We look forward to continuing to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results for our clients and partners.”

ANF’s winning projects are:

Pyramid Award: Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) Research, Development and Training Center (R.D.T.C.) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a 104,000-square-foot design-build project dedicated to training law enforcement officers from across Broward County. The main entrance into the training center features a memorial in remembrance of the victims who died at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.  Led by ANF's design-build team of architects and engineers, the BSO R.D.T.C. is a 4-story building with a 7-story parking garage with 653 parking spaces.  Every aspect of the R.D.T.C. is specifically built to enhance the preparedness of first responders. The facility features specialized training rooms, simulation labs and tactical firing ranges designed to replicate real-world scenarios and hone critical decision-making skills and tactical readiness. Some key components of the R.D.T.C. include two 50-yard tactical firing ranges, a two-story shoot house offering flexible configurations for various unique scenarios, EMS simulation labs, a rappelling tower for SWAT and fire rescue personnel, and three large configurable classrooms to accommodate employees' ongoing educational and professional development.

Eagle Award: Providence Living at Pembroke Pines is a 114,003-square-foot community that provides best-in-class assisted living and memory care services and redefines senior living with a focus on luxury and leisure. The project is located on 3.15 acres on the west side of Palm Avenue, just south of Pines Boulevard at the entrance to the Pembroke Pines City Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida.  The community was developed by Providence One Development and ANF Real Estate Group.  ANF was the general contractor. The three and two-story buildings have 121 units, comprising 130 beds of assisted living and memory care, out of which 40 units and 40 beds are specifically designated for memory care. Designed by Forum Architecture, the project has restaurant-style dining rooms with meals prepared on-site, a full-service salon, a fitness center with a physical therapy room and private massage room, multiple living rooms equipped with iN2L smart televisions, a theatre, and craft rooms. Individual units are equipped with upgraded lighting and plumbing fixtures, wood vinyl plank flooring throughout, full ADA-compliant and zero entry showers, 42” televisions in every room with cable, Wi-Fi, and a state-of-the-art wireless emergency call system.

ABC Florida East Coast Chapter 2024 EIC Awards ceremony was held on October 18 at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida.  Dozens of businesses were recognized for safety, construction, and more at the awards banquet.  The EIC annual awards honor every member of the construction team, including the contractor, owner, architect, and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted across the FL East Coast, are judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and cost.
