BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 8, 2018) – On February 22, over 300 guests were completely transported into ultimate fantasyland when they stepped into Altis Boca Raton, an ultra-luxe mid-rise apartment community built by The Altman Companies. With upscale glamour and utopia headlining the theme, The Altman Companies formally celebrated its 50th anniversary and grand opening of the flagship upscale apartment community.
Those in attendance included current and past company associates, long-time company partners, professionals, current residents, Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie and other city dignitaries. All were afforded an opportunity to get personal tours of the community and sample the exceptional Altis lifestyle.
Before the party went into full swing, The Altman Companies CEO and Chairman Joel Altman took time to speak to the crowd, separated only by a podium and an oversized red Altis-branded ribbon, waiting to be officially cut. Altman thanked all of the people who have contributed to the success of the new development and the company over the past five decades.
The ex-Deputy Mayor of Boca Raton and now an Altis resident, Michael Mullaugh, was presented with a plaque from Mayor Haynie for his service on the Palm Beach County League of Cities Board of Directors as Boca’s Deputy Mayor. Altman was also presented a glass trophy by Cynthia Van Neck Porter of Comerica Bank, the financial institution that has remained a valued partner of The Altman Companies for the past 50 years.
“All along, our focus has been to create a development that would be a real credit to Boca Raton and provide a valued long-term asset for our company and investor partners, and most important, provide an Exceptional Living Experience for our residents,” Altman said.

The party was set up in areas both inside the building and along the outdoor pavilion while Altis associates provided tours of the amenities featured through the entire property, including the relaxing private spa treatment complete with a blow-out bar and a plunge pool at “Indulge” and the 24-7 all-access fitness center, “Sculpt,” which is complete with an interactive Fitness on Demand system, free weights and cardio machines.
Stepping into the celebration area filled with oversized, Altis-branded red and Altman-branded blue balloons, fantasy film Alice in Wonderland played on the large theater room screen while a candy station and bar area was set up nearby. When guests stepped out onto the poolside entertaining area, they were immediately greeted by a mermaid swimming in the Altis’ heated saltwater pool, a live band providing musical entertainment and a made-to-order Hoffman’s Ice Cream cart.
The Hors D’ Oeuvres were prepared throughout the evening in the outdoor kitchen pavilion, utilizing the community outdoor pizza oven and BBQ grill to prepare the gourmet dishes. Once the sun began to set, the fantasy truly came alive with the mermaid contained inside an enormous color-changing bubble that illuminated and floated along the pool. Plenty of candy was available for guests to take home in Altman branded bags as the perfect parting gift.
